Carlos Rodríguez-Feo, born in Cuba, arrived in the United States in 1966.  In Detroit, in the 1960's, he fell in love with photography and asked his parents to buy him his first camera, a 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch Polaroid Land Camera.

A practicing oral and maxillofacial surgeon, he holds a doctorate degree in dental surgery and and post doctorate certification in oral and maxillofacial surgery from Georgetown University.  He perfected his dark room skills while conducting electron microscopy research there.  He subsequently trained in underwater photography while certifying in SCUBA diving.

As a resident artist at ATELIER 1022 Gallery in Wynwood, he has exhibited Alternative Photography and has conducted workshops on Advanced Techniques in Photography and 3-D Photography.  His work has been featured nationally on the ABC primetime drama ‘Charlie’s Angels’.  He currently lives in Miami Beach, FL.

Carlos Rodríguez-Feo collects and restores antique cameras in many different formats and sizes, which he uses alongside modern equipment.  Some of his photos were taken with cameras more than 110 years old.
